a-count-a-bility

Project accounting and control

a-count-a-bility has experience of planning a project from start to finish as well as providing specific financial expertise. We can act as part of a team or manage a team as dictated by your needs and allowing you to balance your existing resources.

A project in your business might mean anything from taking on a new member of staff to building a new factory, preparing a business for sale to integrating a newly acquired business. In every case you will want to evaluate the Return on Investment to ensure that it is worthwhile. There will also be qualitative aspects to consider such as who else needs to be involved (internally and externally) and when, or how will it affect the existing business/staff.

A complex project might involve presenting information to interested parties such as staff or funders. Existing management reporting systems may not be appropriate to a one off activity so processes and reports can be designed, implemented and monitored as appropriate. Setting and delivering against key milestones is also a key part of the process.

Some business changes also require specific project management experience to ensure all areas are considered and linked a building relocation is likely to involve estate agents but will also need to consider security, post, stationery and so on. Experience of thinking about a broad range of matters is key to the success of such a project as is the ability to be supremely organised both skills that a-count-a-bility can offer.

“Rigorous but flexible project planning and control were important factors to ensuring the delivery of many changes required quickly and efficiently. Caroline was able to share her project management approach with many inexperienced staff to their benefit.”
